Tell us a bit about your company and what makes you unique?
We, OLEOMET S.A. SRL, are preparing the third generation to take over this family business and tradition. With 25 years of experience in the cold pressing process, Valahia oil has succeeded not only to improve its technology to better transfer the lipo-soluble vitamins – A,E,D and F – from the raw material into the oil, but also, beyond technology, to develop a market, transferring more and more customer demand from the classical heat-treated oil to the natural and healthy alternative. This accomplishment means a lot for an enthusiastic family business, proving that a step by step strategy of diversification, based on technical and quality certifications, is suitable to convince the market. The company produces a highly diversified range of organic oils based on flaxseeds, rapeseeds sesame, sunflower, hemp, sea buckthorn, milk thistle and coriander seeds. Under their own trademark or private label, a range of 12 Valahia oils were listed in the METRO network and hypermarkets.
The development process doesn’t end here, we have just launched a new image for part of the product line. The company is organic certified by ECOCERT ROMANIA – RO – ECO – 007 and has implemented and maintained a product quality and food safety management system and an environmental, health and safety work management system in accordance with the requirements of international standards of SR EN ISO 9001: 2015, SR EN ISO 22000: 2005 HACCP, SR EN ISO 14001: 2015 and SR OHSAS 18001: 2008.
We would like to open the Romanian – Scandinavian cooperation as we have always admired this part of Europe, where people are 100% engaged in a perfectly balanced way of life.
What new products or bestsellers will you be exhibiting on your stand?
With a new fresh image, our organic cold-pressed oils will be showcased as an open invitation to taste them and convince the Northern, educated and demanding consumers of their qualities.
